I bet the driver was weaving in and out of those cones/sawhorses thinking he was a bad a$$ like when he's in his trailor park at night playing his PlayStation. I would be angry enough to demand they fire that moron. All you EVO owners....I feel for ya b/c when you take your car in for service and its time for lunch....guess who's car they're going to take....YOURS. I had a salesman once admit he took my old Elipse out for a test drive...he got reprimanded when I was done with him!

Just tell the service manager that you won't accept the car back from them until it has met with your satisfaction. Make sure it looks better than the day you got it. Some dumbass scratched your car in July? not anymore! Now it's accident related damage. In addition to the clear bra, I smell free details for two years, maybe a car cover? Floormats? Good luck dude.
BTW- did you check the odo before you dropped it off? how many miles did the "test drive" take?

Now there's an idea!

I know this must be frustrating as hell but at least its being taken care of properly and professionally.

i've sent an email to the service manager that i want a printed letter/statement that they'll guarantee that there will be no problems in the future that caused by this so-called "cosmetic damage."

we'll see what he replies.

i wonder if i could win if i went through the legal route to get good compensation or even a new EVO.

but if it's just gonna be waste of my time, i'll just let them repair it with guarantee statement.

thx for all ur opinions.
i appreciate it...more are welcomed and i'll update u guys later

It just a few body panels and a light, relax. I know that this sucks but the last thing you need to do is open up yet another frivolous lawsuit, waste time and money...and possibly not get your Evo fixed for a good long while. Most body shops/dealership gaurantee their work for as long as you own the car, so that should be taken care of.

If you are firm and understanding with the Service manager, I am sure that they will take care of you, maybe throw in some free stuff just to keep you happy. Just remember, breathe.

I think you're blowing this up a bit. It was an accident that a service tech had on a road test that was required for him to do his job. That's what insurance is for. The dealership is covered for this and the tech will not lose his job. He may have been driving reckless, but you cannot prove this. Just let them fix it back to original condition and be done with it. You will not get any freebees or a new Evo. Sorry.

well i know that asking for a new car is just way too much.
i just want their written guarantee that it's only cosmetic and nothing else was damage, i.e. body frame, radiator problem, intercooler piping, etc etc

there's a difference between accident that is impossible for you to avoid and the accidents that are caused by recklessness or negligence.

I wouldn't be to pissed, there paying 4 a rental, there admitting what they did, there relplacing ur HIDs, fixing the dents, and the front bumper.

I'd not be 2 pissed, just maybe a bit itchy 2 drive EVO.
