Just received a bad news about my EVO
Screwed
The worst part about it is that your car will look like it has been repaired. It won't matter if you tell the next owner of your car that the accident was done by the dealer. There's always overspray and repair hints that a trained eye will see. Buyers will hit you for a couple thousand $$ when it's time to sell.
Check to see if you have more than cosmetic damage. I was rear-ended in 5-10mph traffic and the body underneath my trunk was crumpled. It didn't look so bad and I thought it only needed a new bumper. The body shop took all the lining out of the trunk and, voila! The Evo is light and it's not meant to take a hit, even from a sawhorse. It crumples underneath the surface.
It's admirable of the dealer to own up to the damage, but make sure your Evo is repaired correctly. Don't let them make you feel all greatful just because they did the right thing. You can bet your behind that they are trying to keep the costs low.
Go over that car with a fine toothed comb when you get it back and return it if anything is less than perfect. Be a dick if you have to.

Make them paint the car like the factory did - by disassembling everything. Trust me, no one will be able to tell if you do that (i.e. take all the glass out, the seals, etc.) And since it was their fault, I can't see them complaining about it.
it's going to an auto shop today, will be done in 7-10 business days so i'll go check it out next week.
and yes i'll be picky with the outcome i'll make sure that they do a perfect job.
thx for the supports, i will update u guys after i get my car back, i'll post some pics for the aftermath
drive safe !

Ok, I've sold a few cars that have been in accidents and repaired and as long as the car has been fixed properly, it has cost me ZERO when it's time to sell. Most people don't even ask if it's ever been in an accident. Unless you are trying to sell a collector car, it won't matter that much to most people.

Do you inform customers when a car has been in an accident, even if they don't ask? Is there a legal duty to disclose?

Um, these were my personal cars. I'm not a vendor. Yes, I tell people and most are like "Yeah, so". I believe the law in the state I live in is "You must disclose if asked" - besides the information is available on the web. I'm not hiding anything.

How about repairs to your specs (all new parts obviously) and a year's worth of free labor on installation of aftermarket (or factory) parts purchased by you (not neccesarily from them) w/out voiding your factory warrantee? Something like this could work to your favor.
