What makes a intercooler from one manufacter better than the other. Is it the core or endtank design. How does a AMS,ETS,ect. core flow better than an ebay or lower quality core.

 

Both core and end tank design. Lower quality core would be poorer, hence why its called lower quality in the first place.

 

I've noticed "good" intercoolers have great cores and "great" intercoolers also incorporate good end tank designs such as any Full-Race intercooler.

 

The core and endtank design are both important. Some eBay intercoolers flow the air just fine, they just don't cool it in the process.

design but mostly the density of the core... if you look at some ebay or china intercoolers and hold them up to a legit core you will notice you can see right through the china core..

there are decent cores out there but there are some BAD ones as well.

 

So the ebay ones flow air just as well dont cool as well?

Is flow based only on the size of the channels it flows through?

I just bought a new AMS intercooler with the cast endtanks but i was curious on why some cost more than others.

 

Race core , Street core , whimp core that how it comes into play with pricing.
