wiper arms fading?

Am I the only one who is running into the problem of fading wiper arms?

Right near where the arms connect to the blades are both out of the black paint, and in several other locations on the arms. Anyone have a fix for these?

I tried to search and could not find anything. I was going to just take them off and spray paint them, but didnt want to do that if there was some special paint that is just common knowledge.

Any help would be great.

I too have the same problem. I was probably just going to buy some high heat paint (for the nice florida sun) and paint them.

Just take them off and clean them then paint them flat black with bbq or high temp spray paint. I've done that with my old civic, it worked great.

every single mitsu i have owned does this. 95 vr4, 98 gst, and my 95 gsx. my evo isnt showing any signs of fading, but my brothers 05 wipers are starting to look a bit faded.

just prep them well and spray them with some high temp metal paint. makes a world of difference.

See, glad I waited and didnt go with standard flat black automotive spray paint. I am going to pick up a can of High Heat flat black.

Either that or have them powder coated. Mine were fading and cracking, it was so annoying that I bought a second set to paint and then swap out.

Try Mothers Back to Black, it might help you out, I know it worked on the plastic part of my Jeep's bumper when it looked like it was fading.

i've got a 96 evo 4, so it was faded as. Just put newspaper all over the show and hit it with some satin black spray paint. Came out mint!

Tried the back to black on the wipers originally but were a bit too far gone

Ok, so I fixed mine in 1 hour.
I took them off in about 1 minute, seperated all the items caps wiperblades. I spray painted them with a High Heat Flat Black I picked up from Autozone for $8. Did 1 coat on the caps and arms and they look brand new. Let them dry and put them on this mornings and I could not be happier.

Side note, the back to black stuff will work wonders for anything black, but my arms were missing paint in many sections which is why I had to repaint them.

If you have this problem, its an $8 fix
