Evo Championship of Guyana and Suriname - 67/65 vs Gt42

Hello fellow Evo fans, I am a very proud Evo owner from Guyana in South Amercia and I am writing to share the excitement about our big drag race championship event comming up this weekend.

I have a Evo 7 with many Buschur Racing parts and a Autronic ecu

My modifications include

Buschur Race 2.1 L short block
Buschur Stage III head
AWD turbo kit with PT 67/65
Dual walbro fuel pumps with hard wire
8 1,000 cc fuel injectors
Pruven Performance custom 4.5" race fmic and pipes
No exhuast
Forge Unos MBC
Exedy triple clutch
Q16 gas

Al from Dyno Flash is currently in the process of tuning my car on my AWD Dyno Jet dyno

The principal competitor has a USDM 2003 Evo 8 with GT42 turbo and Machine Gone Wild racing short block and Zex 75 shot nos and AEM EMS

Lance from Machines Gone Wild is here working on my dyno to prepare the red beast for the big race

The big drag race event is Sunday and will feature 100 cars from all over Guyana and neighboring countries

I will post up pictures and dyno sheets shortly

We made 757 whp on my Dyno Jet dyno last evening. The Pruven Performance 4.5" race core - same fmic core as Buschur BFF lowered my intake air temps by 20 degrees as compared to the ETS 4" core I was previously using netting a peak wh gain of 50 whp and at least 70 whp pick up at 8,000 rpms.

Today, Al from Dyno Flash is boost leak testing my car and we are going to aim for closer to 800 whp.

The Machine gone wild team from Florida ran into some difficulties in pre race testing and apparently missed a shift with thier DOG BOX and sequential shifter resulting in the crank pulley and flywheel seperating from the crank. Apparently they have obtained a loan of a tilton carbon clutch from a local road racer and are undergoing repairs.

The tension is rising as the race is 22 hours away.

Congrats on the power. There are quite a few S/T systems in GT. What are you running for ignition?

I am the Buschur Authorized Dealer for Guyana so I am running the Buschur COP

I am also a dealer of SparkTech and love your products

However, Al from Dyno Flash is tuning my good friend's car who has purchased a COP with M & W and black annodized valve cover from SparkTech

It would appear that the Buschur and SparkTech units are both very well designed and both work very well as no one has any ignition issues here

We run 90 octane pump gas here so after the race, Al is going to install and tune my car with an Aquamist HFS 6 we are all looking forward to see how much power can be made on our gas here which is almost as weak as water

An update the red car seems as if it can not start after clutch replacement and repair so we will see if the race goes down. There are many other fast Evos in town for the race so we'll if we get a good race

I think it would have been a great race,

The other car is running a GT42 and NOS with a fully gutted race car and a DOG BOX with sequential shifter

My car on the other hand is built more in the lines of the famous Buschur Bad Bish - a full weight street car with a/c - video and sound - ful interior and all original body, its also my daily driver and I take my kids in it also. However, given the 750 whp generated by Big AL of Dyno Flash on my Buschur 2.1 engine I am confident that my car is a reliable 9 second street car and will stand up to abuse

Last night I was doing some test runs and Al made a video he is going to posy up on his You Tube when he returns to the states

We are going to take advantage of the rain today and let Al work his magic touch on a few more Evos while he is here

Hopefully if the rain stops the big show down will happen later tonight or tommorrow
