Angry Wow I would like to thank UPS for this...

I received my FP Black last thursday, drove it to my other house to install it last night (hadn't taken it out of the box), and one of the bolts is slightly bent inward and it will not go into my turbo manifold. I just went to test fit it and it did not go in easily so I eyed it and sure enough the bolt off of the hotside is bent inward.

Thank you UPS for dropping my stuff! I guess I'll be calling FP Monda and claiming damaged goods. Another two weeks of waiting.

Car's down time 6.3 months.

how was the turbo packaged with bricks or something? it would have had to have taken a HARD drop to bend a bolt like that

it was actually packaged rather well, and FP has been nothing but great .

and that's what I thought too, it would have taken A LOT of force to bend the bolt. I don't know but anyway I'm not happy right now.

Just got my Green 73HTA today and the it was packaged so nice you could have dropped it off a building and it would have survived! My guess is it was damaged when it was shipped, or dare I say it? You dropped it!

if i dropped it, it would have scratches I can take pics for FP and show that the turbo is flawless. The threading is even still intact. I'll post up pics tomorrow when I go to my other house.

I didn't drop it but mine was packed very nice as well. Two HUGE pillows.

just unscrew the stud and replace it with a bolt, or ace should have a stud

Studs are cheap, but Id be nervous of what the jarring couldve done to the turbo itself. Easier than replacing a stud is swapping hotsides. I recommend being even MORE patient and getting another one your way

This is exactly exactly why I would want to send it back because I don't want to end up with other damages. Although I'm sure turbos see a lot of vibrations and jerking I just don't know and I really think UPS dropped it because I've had them ship stuff to me broken before.

To 403evo: I don't get to sign for my packages. The place I live in signs for your packages and when you get home you can call the leasing office and they'll have an employee bring the package to your place.

You can't do that. Either you sign or refuse.

Mine was packaged very well. If the stud got bent during shipping there would be a hole in the box where it hit. I would just replace the stud. Lock 2 nuts on it and unscrew it with the bottom nut. The stud should come right out. Thats what I would do.
