Normal Idle for a Stock Evo VIII?

Hey guys

I have had my 2003 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII for a few weeks now. It has claimed to be stock for its entire life and appears to be also. The maintenance also seems to be up to date (currently @ 48,000 miles). The idle on the car seems to be either at 1000 RPMS or just below it between 900 and 1000.

Is this normal for the car? I've checked for vacuum leaks because I'm paranoid but there are no apparent problems with the car. On the smog check, its idle was recorded at 897 rpm's but the tachometer sits at 1000 or right below it. There seems to be vibration at idle but not unbearable, I figured this might be normal for the car. Its definitely noticeable in the steering wheel though. There may be no problems with the car but I wanted to get other opinions on it.

The only mods on the car are a WORKS axleback muffler and drop in air filter.

Thank you for your help!

I bought my Evo brand new and it idled at 800 RPM until I tuned it the first time. After tuning and cams it was up around 950-1000 RPM.

The idle is not shaky or bouncy at all. It just seemed to be a higher than normal idle so I figured I should inquire within.

There doesn't seem to be any apparent issues with the vehicle.
