For those running a cone filter with the stock intake pipe

How do you support the intake pipe? I installed the speed element filter with the maf studs built into it and it just rests on my upper intercooler pipe. I cant go back to the stock air box or anything like that because I have the ETS short route UICP. Is there a braket that I can buy or something I can make so the filter wont rest on my IC piping?

Looks like I'll keep it the way it is and just try to build something so I can bolt it down. I just removed my AEM intake since it was giving me issues and fit like crap.

I made a support made of strip metal that you can bend. Bolt one end on one of the maf bolt and the other end to the boost solenoid mount.

Thats a good idea. I think i have some 4'x1" aluminum strips and i'll make my own lil bracket out of it. Thanks for sharing your idea, I really appreciate it.

I need to come up with something like that. My filter currently just chills and hangs.

Perrin makes a little heatshield mounting bracket thing that works with both the stock intake pipe and their silicone pipe.

I have the amsoil filter on the stock intake pipe and I got mine to fit just inside the acd reservoir without bending the bracket so it sits in there just fine and doesnt move around at all.
