Hey I'm looking at getting the C-West front bumper and some other aftermarket rear bumper for my Evo 9 from Duraflex. Has anybody ever bought parts from Duraflex? Is it alright stuff or a bunch of crap? They say its fiber glass mixed with plastic or something. And whats PFRP Composite? Is it better than duraflex or same thing?

 

FPR. Its like Hyper fiberglass. I had a lip on my Supra made of of this stuff. Its not as brittle as regular fiberglass. You can bend it a good bit. But you can still break it pretty easy. I pulled too far into a parking spot with the parking blocks and it put a pretty good sized crack in the lip.

A friend of mine has an ebay FPR JDM rear bumper on his Evo; not sure which ebay brand. But it fits pretty badly!

 

Yeah I've heard that those bumpers don't fit too well, might have a gap between the bumpers and quarter panels or fenders, but at the same time I see many many evo's with the C-West bumper, and many of them get that same duraflex or FPR stuff, and seems to look just fine on their cars.

 

stock bumper looks 100000x better than any other bumper imo so please dont turn it into a ricer

 

stock bumpers are way more expensive :/

wow stock bumper is pretty boring but some love it. If you want cwest front or entire kit look into the ati racing cw kit same thing fits sweet. Now it is fiberglass but i have not had any problems out of it period. fits great you will have to drill you own holes. the only issue is they use a junk primer on it so you will have to do some prep work. Serious work it comes extremely rough. Will need to be sanded gelcoated sanded some more reprimer etc type deal to get it smooth to paint. i still have my rear if you want to buy mine as iill never use it. I got jdm rear

 

CWest rear? i dont really like them :/
I'm deciding between JDM rear or another one that kinda looks like JDM but is a bit lower
