I've heard good things about the BBK but I hear a lot of good things about the Red, thats what David used on Project white and that thing had like 400ft lbs at like 3500rpms

Yeah, I was talking about sir-eth's post. I haven't seen to much on the BBK and I'm sure its awesome but seeing how the red worked on Project White which is pretty much how my build looks, it makes it easier to pick that cause I know what to expect.

Thanks Chad I think Ill give you a call.

As for suspension I was thinking about those same Apexi S1 coilovers that project white had but as Iv topped out my build budget, I'm gonna run the stock on until I come home for good in January which will give me more then enough time to come up with some more cash and Ill decide what to do from there.

Paying off the car is a good idea but you have a wife (maybe a kid or one on the way in the near future) and no good amount of savings? Mods for my evo would be the last thing on my mind...

Iv got a 4 year old and between both myself and my wife, we make enough to live fairly comfortable. When I said large amount of money I never had more then 10k in my bank account at one time.

I appreciate your concern for my financial situation but Ill be 26 on the 4th and I've lived on my own since 17. Married and having a kid for almost 5 years so I think I can handle my stiff. Thanks though.

Besides being away from my wife an kid for a year I feel warrants any frivolous spending on my part as a treat for myself.

Hey as long as you have it figured out go for it. I just see way to many people dump money into things they should not be dumping money into with the situation they are in. Don't want to see your wife or kid suffer for evo mods thats all. Be safe in Iraq.

Step 1 - Pick a well respected shop for the build.
Step 2 - Tell them your goals. Streetable, reliable, firebreathing, etc.
Step 3 - Do what THEY say and pay them (there is a reason the shops with good reputations have them).

If you dont have a local shop with a great reputation for building up Evos, then its probably worth the drive to one that does. I would suggest English Racing.

Well actually that's the build up me and David Buschur went over. And with me being here in Iraq and my car being in KS, hes even been kind enough to take care for the transportation of my car to his shop.

Ah your all set then. I thought you were asking the community for build advice. For as much as we know (or think we know), it is no substitute for the wisdom of a shop like BR.
