Its a perrin knockoff. Friend of mine with an 8 uses it with pretty good results. He's on e85 though so he runs pretty cold anyways.

Do some research on the knock off cores that just get heat soaked and perform for crap.

If you pressure test that core it probably leaks like no other. I would just buy from the brands thats been proven to work.

if it holds pressure, get it. People that buys $1000+ intercoolers are just dumb, IMO

Why is a guy with a tiburon dropping knowledge? A heatsoaked, hot intercooler does nothing to "cool" your intake charge!

You say this, but people are swinging from the nuts of the home depot front lip like no other.

You could either guinea pig and pressure test it or get something from a reputable company...i would choose the latter

Same intercooler that was on the evo i bought. I say its a pretty good buy. Welds look nice. The only visual difference I see in ebay intercoolers and high dollar ones, are the ebay ones usually dont come polished very well.

I say its a good buy though.

I have tested my system to 30lbs, with no leaks. It always has and always will be my opinion, that you pay for the name more than anything with the high dollar parts.

^+1 When buying off ebay you are really going for a hit or a miss kind of deal. You never know until you get it, but it is definitely a lot cheaper then buying high dollar company fmic. my greddy fmic came on my car and I haven't changed it. Really it is up to the buyer, you will either get a good buy or a bad buy.

The ObX intercooler is cool for a simple upgrade from the factory one. I like it because it almost has the same specs as a lot of other intercooler except of the 2in outlet which a lot of people don't buy it. Its 3.5in thick which is good though.
