Quick question - I have an 03 Evo, and the intercooler sprayer has been removed. Will that leave a connector on the fan control module unused? I had everything apart for a while and just putting it together now. I can't seem to find any cable to plug in there. The only thing I can come up with is that it was for the sprayer, unless I'm completely missing a cable tucked in and hiding somewhere.

 

Nobody knows? Can someone just go look at their car for me and let me know. It's the little black square shaped thing aside of your radiator fan. There should be two connectors with cables coming out the bottom of it. Just tell me if there's an unused connector sticking out of the passenger side of it.

 

The fan control module on my '04 Evo 8 has an unused connector, and two harness plug connectors. One goes to the fan motor, and the other is wired into the front harness. I removed the inter-cooler sprayer, etc. some time ago, and the wiring does not plug into the fan controller. If you look inside of the "extra" plug receptacle on the controller, I think that you will find that there are no metal contacts in it. I guess there might be some other application that uses the same controller.
