Question Evo Ix Mr vs a regular evo

hey, im in the market for an evo and i was wondering is there is any different in reliability or anything like that between an MR and a regular Ix.....I heard something about the MR's transmissions being weaker is this true?

lies, all lies. any stock transmission is weak if you add two or three times the power to it than it came with stock, but don't do anything to upgrade the transmission. also, upgrading the clutch IS NOT upgrading the transmission. All you did was make the clutch stronger than the tranny, and even more prone to break.

stock for stock, the transmissions are equally reliable from my experience. 155k+ miles on my IX MR 6speed with zero issues, and plenty, plenty, plenty of racing and hard driving.
