What are the differences between an MR SE and an MR?

I'm very interested in purchasing an Evo IX and I'm wondering what are the differences in an MR SE to a regular MR?

Also when the X comes out will IX's go down in price, and if so will they be very difficult to find?

Thanks for an help!

kreionic just listed the differences between the RS/GSR and MR.

The differences between the cars you listed are the front lip, red stitching in the seats, and different wheels. Also, it's not really an "MR SE," but rather an MR with the SE's equipment. It's not an actual model type nor does it get an SE badge.

not worth the money if you're in a tight budget but it is the best model if money is no object

Did you do any research on the EVO before you sent these questions? Not trying to be an @$$, but other members on here are going to really be hard on you with questions like these. Just trying to look out for ya.

The answer, IMHO, is the RS...quickest acceleration of the bunch, potentially very marginally better handling, lowest price.

The true answer is undoubtedly the one you already own, actually.

Aside from that, the MR "Special Edition" has the best of both worlds; the goodies of the SE, and the goodies of the MR.

If you want, and can afford, an MR then get the MR. There are many that will say it's not worth the money--but will then proceed to get a new lip, VG, lights, seats, wheels, shocks, and shift knob lol If you're anything like me you want all the visual goodies right off the bat.

My opinion, the MR SE is the sexiest of the bunch, and from what I'm told the rarest (although to avoid any needless flame wars from those trying to pick fights, no, I can't back that up). Then again, I do own one...

The wheels and seats look sweet on all of the colors offered in the MR SE and will definitely increase the resale value. But, honestly, the only reason I got the MR SE was that it's the first one the dealer found for me.

MR's are nice if you like transmissions made of glass. Get an SE and live happily ever after.
