Does anyone have a stock wing mounted on a carbon fiber trunk? I want to add the stock wing to my CF trunk, but someone told me that its not safe and it could rip off...

If you do, can you post pics and did you do anything special when mounting it?

 

it'll be fine. I had my stock wing on two different trunks over the course of a few years. plenty of track time/racing, no issues. the only problem you'd have is if you were mounting a wing that mounted in the middle of the trunk instead of on the sides/stock location.

not of stocker but other spoilers i have a Riser APR GTC 200 on line and its perfect

 

i;ve seen it done, but if you have a cf trunk maybe throw on a cf wing? i have that on my car and it looks clean because its both cf and it seems pretty solid, but does wobble a little when closing the trunk.

 

I would just put a CF Wing, just incase you know?

cf trunk with cf wing is perfeckt...

 

the only issue ive had with my stock wing and seibon trunk was one of the bolts holding the wing down pushed through the hole on the trunk...but i easily fixed it by putting a washer in between the nut and the trunk...no more wobbly wing lol

 

I have the seibon trunk as well...I need to figure out how to put the bars in so it'll open itself though

Im getting a stock 8 wing in black I think it'll look perfect with the insides cf and the outside black

 

Ive got the VIS trunk with a MR ix spoiler, Never one issue. Gone high speeds with it obviously, and its always there when i get home...That is unless i go wingless which looks better.

the vis trunks and hoods are very sturdy. i like the look without the wing though but thats me

 

That orange looks awesome, honestly the wing would look better off
