Well my 6 speed just went out again for the 3rd time and I have decided to convert to a 5 speed. I know the shifter and the speed sensor are different between them but is there anything else that Im going to need to do the swap?

List off my car:

5 Spd trans
5 Spd motor mount (side mount only, the rear is interchangeable)
5 Spd clutch kit (I did the Spec Super Twin)
shifter linkage cables
Shifter base/assembly
Upper Console/trim ring/boot/knob
speed sensor/reverse harness (I made my own)

Everything costs about 300$ new from the dealer + the trans.

 

Might I ask how these three 6 spds were broken? Do you track frequently?
