I didn't notice any HP gains over an intake over either of my Evo's (Evo 5 has HKS RS). You will notice your BOV now though. It should be significantly louder.

the stock rubber intake hose restricts alot of HP, buy the Perrin intake and get the most out of it

If you go with HKS RS, the gain is probably very little, but your affects are a louder BOV and better air flow.

You don't need to modify the intake unless you are going to be pushing over 450 hp.
You also need to get a tune if you change the intake.

Anything will work better than the stock paper gasket, and yes definitely get it tuned if you perform this mod.

You will definitely see gains with the HKS RS! The only complaint I have with the HKS is that the filters dirty fast so plan on buying a few replacements right away at $20-30 each.

I was going to go with the HKS but bought the Perin. I love it, the turbo seems to spool slightly faster but the sound is amazing!
