Stock Boost Solenoid

I have a Manuel Boost Controller (MBC) that I had installed a while back now. I want to install this oil catch can that I purchased recently but I want to put it where the stock boost solenoid is.

My question is... Do I have to have the stock boost solenoid plugged in (wired) to the ecu, as it is in stock form even though I dont have boost lines running to it anymore? If I dont have to have it plugged in I was going to remove it so my catch can could fit with no problem.

You will get a CEL if you unplug it.

Yup CEL. I'm sure there is a way to disable the code for it though, in your map somehow..check out the DTC disable thread. If you peel back some of the convoluted tubing, you should get enough slack in the wiring to relocate the stock solenoid near the fender well.

You can move the solenoid, however it must be plugged in or you'll get a code.
