100LL mix?

Ok well the thought crossed my mind, i have a unlimited supply of jet A 100LL at my disposal with my job. is their any way i can do a mix of the 100LL with regular 92 oc pump gas to raise my octane rating at all? or will my car just run like crap

The lead is so heavy and the octane is not that much better then say 93 that I experimented with.

I didn't see any gains, and the car actually logged slower.

I was actually reffering to mixing 100LL with 92 oc pump gas to see if i could at least get the minimum 94 oc.

You should try it.

But if it blows up, its your fault. =)

From what I have read jet fuel is a no go. They are typically of higher octane however the lead will reduce the lifespan of your o2 sensors. Also note that the fuel has other special chemicals in it which help with the higher altitudes which arent necessarily good for a car.

I mixed some 100LL with 93 in an attempt to "spike" the fuel.

It added enough lead to slow the burn (and reduce power) but not enough octane to effectively raise boost or timing.

100LL is gasoline, not jet fuel.

avgas is some dirty stuff compared to refined gas. you might as well add diesel to your tank. i would just find some c-16 if i were you.
