During hot days, car feels sluggish

During hot days (75* and up) my car feels like it lost some of the power , then at night when it gets cooler, I get it all back. It seems to run richer during the hot days too.
I know this is normal, but would a bigger intercooler make a difference? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth buying one. Do I need a re-tune if i get a 3.5" intercooler?
I have a stock intake box with k&n filter, stock intercooler, 3" tbe, 23psi tuned, 304whp on 93oct.
Thanks.

Welcome to turbo charged cars.

Yes, in hot days my car loses up to 30whp. Intercooler would definetly help. Depending on your tune, you might also be knocking alot more making the car feel slower because of pulled timing.

3.5" IC would be enough unless your building a 600whp monster.

Intercooler will make minimal difference unless u change to bigger turbo, it's more of ur ecu's safty precaution from detonation.

Whats the humidity like? I find on humid days the car feels like doodies. Hot, water filled air with little O2. Humid days i would advise against using the IC sprayer as it will most likely just insulate the FMIC instead of cooling it down.

Cars are like people, trying running in 100 degrees and then in 70 degrees. Its hard to breathe out there in this muggy weather. Texas weather is horrible right now! Feels like there is a gorilla sitting on my trunk!

I think the answer here is E85. I notice very little drop in power during the recent high temps. E85 will def lower EGTs.

for you guys with larger aftermarket intercoolers, any noticeable difference during hot summer days daily driving?
also do I need to get another tune with a new 3.5" intercooler?

Yea the IC helped tremendously. And yes you need another tune after the IC...just wait until you put a few more parts along with the IC to maximize it. Don't go back for a tune after every part...youll spend wayyy too much money that way.
