I am still in the not over 15k +- a little. I found two that I like so far. A quick opinion: Both are super clean with the records to prove it... An 03 with 62k miles and minimal mods, or an 05 with 104,000... Both look great and both are Apex silver. Both have TBE and the 03 has a works tune. What would you choose and why. I am personally leaning to the 03 just b/c of the miles..?

Miles is of little concern if you plan on having the motor built anyways. If they are both taken care of then the 05 would be my choice.

If you ever plan to have the engine freshened up its just gonna be a matter of when one needs it before the other...maybe. Depending on how each where driven, its really a gamble on any used car.

OK looked at an 03 with 61000 miles. Good condition overall. Interior was almost perfect and had a few door dings but nothing bad. It has a Helix TBE, UICP, BOV, and a Works flash, powerslot rotors and hawk pads. He also has all of the stock parts to go with it. I drove the car and it ran friggin strong. The clutch is stock but it felt great. Overall I would say it was 8.5/10. Now the car had sat for like a week and when he started it I noticed a bearing growl noise from what looked like the tensioner or idler pulley. It went away as soon as the car ran for like a minute. Has anyone seen this issue before or is a sound similar to that, come from another issue known. Also the AC worked fine but the compressor kicked on and off like it was low on freon. Is this an issue with the Evo in general that can be fixed simply or is it just a "charge it up and see" kinda deal.
I didn't jump on it because I don't really NEED a car right now. What is your guys' opinion on the situation? I had him down to 15k.
