I really didn't like the rear wing. It was directly in my line of sight in the rearview. But it's gone now.

 

its a money pit...

 

the fact that a double din looks so amazing, but a relocation kit for the hvac is impossible to find

 

having to break in the 2.3.. oh and its a money pit ahahah

 

Every time I wash my Evo a bird takes a crap on it soon after... its like a magnet

 

- Crap paint. Chip easily.

- Cheap rent interior

- The turning radius

- Money drain- I have been throwing so much money on the evo, & I hope to stop. - Keyword is "Hope"

- High Insurance

- Dash Rattles

- Small readings of speedometer.

- No telescopic steering wheel-> hard to get a comfortable driving position for long trips.

- Noisy engine( very loud even in cabin)

- Stiff ride

- Poor Fuel consumption, although its not as bad as I initially feared.

But having said all these, I still love the car to bits.

 

sounds like you've never taken it to a race track, or autocross. if you had, none of that stuff would matter. especially the turning radius. you'd be praising the steering instead of putting that as a negative.

 

ride quality on the 8 and 9 are like crap. The X ride are lots better. I wouldnt put lil baby in them 8,9 evos.

 

interior s look crappy too . Radio , dashboard, etc

 

Yea and it's even more of a pig. There's downfalls to all cars. Oh and as far as kids go my daughter has been riding in mine for 5+ years now.

 

My children, as infants, were crated in a stiffened, stripped A2 GTI that made my Evo feel like a boulevard cruiser. Guess what? They survived.

 

+1, seriously every time it does not fail, only in the winter of course... then all that white stuff from the sky just coats it
