Not sure why you wouldn't just take it to a shop that specializes in evo's and have them check it out....
There has to be a shop close to your location
if they wanna sell the car, they will have no problems with you getting it checked out by a shop. If they have a problem with that, go find another car!
Even if it costs you $100-$150 to get the car checked out, it would certainly be worth it in the long run if you bought the car only to find out it needed major mechanical work
