What are you asking? Are you asking what mods have been done to it?

Exhaust is not stock, exetrnal wastegate, blow off valve, upper ic pipe, exhaust manifold, intake...

That's what I can tell from the pictures...

Make sure the under side is not rusted. Price around 20-25k.

it took me almost a year to find all the mods the PO did to mine. hopefully who ever had this one knew what they were doing. Is it the stock turbo?

I'd say it's not the stock turbo if the car (what looks like) is running a Tial WG. I bet that thing is pretty modded.

This. Plus, mild engine clean up (I can't tell everything but there's usually a hose attached the valve cover. I assume other little clean ups were done as well) and JDM IX tail lights.

External wastegate makes me wonder if the turbo is stock. But with all these stcok-frame turbo options, it's going to be fairly hard to tell unless the intake and intake hose are removed.

Can I ask what the good price is? I'd say $23-$25K is still good.

You can tell a few things by looking around.

Check under it for the downpipe/cat.

Pull the upper timing belt cover (4 10mm bolts) and check for cam gears or if the cover was ground down for previous gears, maybe left cams in and they are now no longer degreed.

Feel around under the upper IC pipe for meth nozzles, check the tank in the trunk to make sure there is no tapping for a meth pump.

Get the info off the turbo on the plate and someone can identify it also, may be easier from the under side.

Feel/look under also to see if it has a lower IC pipe.

Take a pic of the front and we can tell you if it has an aftermarket IC or not also.

Looks like there's an Manual Boost Controller (MBC) too-- the silver piece between the radiator hose and UICP.

Beware that MBC's are known to void at least parts of the engine warranty. A local guy had a leaky oil cooler and they didn't cover it under wararnty because he had an MBC.

Wouldn't he had been able to fight it with that law that states that if it didn't or could have caused the problem it can't be blamed?

The wastegate doesn't look hooked up either to me. Someone may have tampered with it to make it run low boost to hide other potential problems. Honestly I would look elsewhere, but without more pictures of the front, engine, interior, and the individual components in the car it's hard to really tell.

Also I would do a compression test at the very least...

Tried that, he's even buddies with one of the salesmen there. Didn't work. But, logically, it makes sense the warranty claim was denied.

MBC= higher boost= more heat generated= higher oil temps= higher stress on oil cooler= (possible) breakage.

an oil cooler doesnt see stress to the point where something breaks.... an oil cooler leaking would be caused by something hitting it, or someone messing with it. end of story

That's a weird looking manifold. The position of the wastegate too.
