seat height

Hey guys i am about 5'5-5'6 and i am looking into getting either an evo 8 or evo 9. I know that these cars do not have seat height adjustment but was wondering at my height will my view of the road and stuff still be mostly clear? Will i be able to see all my surroundings?

Looks like you might be stuck with OEM seats for your Evo career.

^lol - how will those help him since he is 5'6" or so? I'm 6'3" and they are great!

OP, you should be fine with the stock seat height level.

Lowering the seat actually help alot. I'm 5'5 myself, short legs and a long torso. Lowing the seat actually made it easier to reach the pedals.

Think about geometry. Its not just for more headroom. Lowering the seat actually help alot. I'm 5'5 myself, short legs and a long torso. Lowing the seat actually made it easier to reach the pedals.

^sure, I understand that, but he is concerned about seeing out the front. Lowering the seat, while changing the angle your leg angles to the pedals, will certainly drop your view. I suppose you are 5'5", so that is good to know. I wonder if the OP is proportioned similar to you.

Im 6'-6" and didnt have much of a problem at first. but when I started autox'ing and wearing a helmet ran into some issues. some binary brackets fixed that though and gave some more leg room.

yes I do have the same proportions as chu. I have short legs but a longer upper body. I currently have a steptronic 04 330ci and the way my seat is adjusted I can barely see the hood of my car and I really like that view while driving gives me a better perception of where the front of my car is. In the evo will I be able to see the hood at all?
