You know you live in Canada when...

...you go to your Mitsubishi dealer to buy transmission oil and they ask if your EVO9 is manual or auto ...

...and then they tell you they THINK you need normal tranny oil for this job ...

...and then they decide to call Mitsubishi Canada to make sure ...

...and then Mitsu Canada answers back that they should have this info in their computer and dont feel like searching for the answer

...and then the mechanic ends up logging on the internet to look for an answer...

...just to end up telling you they dont have any for sale at the moment, out of stock.



My skills in maintenance went up about +13 since I got the car...lol.

hahaa! thats a shame, so in the end, does anything get done?

tobad your evo wasnt auto, they would prob have the fluid in stock

^^lol ... well , he told me what oil I needed... so I can just go to another place and get an oil with the same specs..

Any idead which oil I shuld use? (other than Diaqueer it seems..)

where you buying your oil from? my guy in Vancouver has no issues. but his mechanics don't want to touch my car.

im a fan of amsoil in my (6speed), but i will leave it at that. questions like what oil i should use turn into a pissing match real quick!

^^ Well if you use Amsoil and you never had any issue, I guess I'll go for this one. 70w80?

Lol! They could have looked in the car to see it was a manual, and reached in the glove box for the owners manual to see the type of fluid!

i used syncromesh and a half quart of lucas, works fine so far and that was last summer, it actually helped my 3 to 4 grind (syncro going bad) just putting it out there
