Why such small turning radius???
Just wondering... why such HUGE turning radius for our EVO??
I've heard that the 2g eclipses are the same.... so i thought it
must due to the AWD drivetrain....
well... until I drove my friend's WRX....
so... anyone know why such big turning radius for our EVO?
Thanks,
EDIT: I dont mean small... i meant HUGE!!! (Thanks, Thwack!)

The turning radius on my 2001 Eclipse GT (3G) was huge. I got really good at doing handbrake turns.
My Evo seems better in comparison... But if I run out of room handbraking isn't an option, this being an AWD car.

Thats what I thought... well, until I drove the WRX... doesn't seem
to suffer the same problem...
Does S4, AWD 911s and various SUVs suffer the same problem?

Never drove a 911, or S4 but I have a Toyota Surf and it has a wonderful turning radius. Want to have some fun....Buy a diff and take a u-turn at high speed. Give her some gas and the diff locks up. It will be an experience you won't soon forget. Very fun though!

The front tires are very wide
Turn your wheel to lock and look how much room is left. Not that much at all. The evo has pretty shallow wheel wells and if the wheels turned much more, there would be a rubbing problem.
The Sti has 7.5 inch wide tires and the turning radius is A LOT smaller. But i think it has deeper wheel wells too.
