Just Got My Car Back

As the title says i just got my car back from the dealer today. They were replacing a 3rd and 6th gear synchro, it runs and drives great but i just noticed that when I pull out of first gear I hear a whinning sound but in every other gear is find. I was thinking the transfer cas but it wouldn t be doin it every gear?

My transfer whine didn't only whine in 1st gear when it started but in 2nd and in neutral while coasting, and on and off the throttle. The noise basically was speed related. Not gear related.

I would do two things. #1 Check your fluid levels in the transmission and transfer case. #2 Ask the dealer what fluid was used to fill both. Once you find out, you can go from there. I wouldn't be surprised if the wrong fluid was used. Common mistake from most stealerships.

Yea everything was undeor the advicer warranty it wouldnt go into 6th gear thats what the problem was. But i was doin some research and it happened to other evo owners they say its the input shaft in first and not the tc and they have driven it like that for like 20k and its still the same. Im gonmna try calling the dealer tomorrow andfind out what kind of fluid they used just so I know. Thanks guys for the advice
