Built Block owners(4G64)

I guess this could go out to all owners who paid to have a block built. But mostly goes to the 4G64 guys. My quesion is,..

"How long did you wait to get your block? From the time you paid for it on the phone, to its being dropped of at your door?"

Thnx

it depends on where you got it from and the parts you use really. Some things could be back ordered, some may require extensive machining. Etc. (along with how busy the shop is.)

How long have you been waiting and from who?

Less than a week. Luckily I ordered my 2.1L and Stg 3 MIVEC head from Buschur and they had a customer for Reese tuning back out so they had everything on hand. I ordered it on the phone and picked it up at BR a few days later dropping off my cores. The timing couldn't have been better. It has been running 35+ psi on Ethanol for almost three months now, still going strong.

Usually the 4G64's should be much less wait time than the 63's since the cores are much more common.

6 months??? Dude, you should have been on the phone with them everyday till you get it. I ordered mine from Slowboy and was told 5 weeks. They took about 7. Also, thought everything was good to go until 2 weeks later found out there is a special oil line thats included which they forgot to send with it. Had to wait 3 days more.

Your 6 months should never have happened. I would demand some kind of compensation or refund.

I would say a month to a month and a half as well. The only exception would be if they are waiting for parts to come in that are backordered. I could have sore you were getting a 2.4 from AWD according to your sig that you changed earlier. mine was done quick but i had no shop or anywhere to put it so i delayed payment on it till i found a good shop once that happened i paid and it was shipped.

6 months is too long. Did you buy it from overseas and the ship yard workers went on strike and it was seized by customs? That's the only reason I would give it to take that long.

Call them, give them your acc # and let them know you'd like your deposit returned and thank them for the smooth transaction of getting your money back.

After that, call a real shop and order a built block.
