Injectors ?

2.3 stroker 2003 evo 8, my stock turbo failed on me so now i will be upgrading, I dont have the money to go for a fp black setup or 35r so I will probly go with a fp green for now, with stock injectors but I'm curious if i was to upgrade the injectors to 1000 cc would that affect my gas milage at lower rpms like when i'm just driving around town or is there any disadvantage to big injectors ?

i really haven't a clue, but i would say it doesn't use more fuel due to the same amount of fuel pressure but idk, lets her what someone who knows has to say about it

If the injectors are tuned right the difference in mpg's will be minimal. Obviously you will be using more fuel than stock because of the larger displacement motor and the higher flowing turbo. So expect decreased MPG over stock, but it still won't be bad.

Is that an HTA or regular green? I have a feeling that you will be running out of turbo with that 2.3 going into the 6500k+ RPM range if it is just a regular green. I even have my doubts about the HTA on a 2.3 block that revs pretty high. Might want to see about switching it up to a red, or BBK Full or BBK-X. You are going to need bigger injectors than stock for the 2.3 and any type of the Green's I would think. I would upgrade to the 1000cc's regardless, and with a good tune, you will be ready to rock and roll.

hmm thanks for the advice I might just hold off for a bit I'd like the biggest turbo i can with out having to change the stock manifold , the stock turbo was way to small for the 2.3 and honestly i would like some lag so i dont always have to be in the boost on daily drives, but the fp black is like 2 grand and thats a bit much for me at the moment so i'll ether wait till i can swing the money or get a green with low boost and not change the injectors just have it re tuned with a green possibly a used green , just been hard making money lately so I am limited , the car made 313 whp on stock turbo and honestly that was fine for me i don't need 400hp or higher really its a pure daily driver, appriciate all suggestions

with a right tune youll be just fine you may see a very minor loss in gas milage but a nice tune will pretty much get you back to like your running stock injectors
