Cabin filter
Thanks and at 30K I will do mine this weekend
Installed it today, man that thing was dirty and even had a bug or two in it ... the cabin filter in my OP actually seemed better quality than what was in it (i dont know if it was OEM in it) lets see how it holds up
very easy to do.just take out your globe box.behind it is where it should go.all i did was use a knife where the filter would go and that's it. the filter will screw in place using the two holes for screws found on the each corner...
ya about every 20k or so. If you have allergies and live in a place with lots of pollen then the lower end of 20k. otherwise you might even be ok to wait till 30k. I get allergies and Norcal is horrible for folks with allergies, so before installing the new cabin filter I sprayed the system with bg frigi fresh to clean and kill mold in the vents as much as possible.
I just hope this filter will help me lessen the smell of the mexican who used to own the car, I cant describe the smell he left in it, Ive detailed it, shampooed it, and its still there, sort of this sweet detergent smell.
i've seen all these threads on cabin air filters and gone out to mine to check it with tools and get frustrated looking and searching for something so easy and given up... I have an 03 ::tard::
good to know i'm out of the loop once again!!

No. They are referencing what is in your dashboard on the passengers side. What you are referring to is the canister that filters the exhaust. 2 completely different things.
