Cabin filter

The more expensive one is the one you want. It also has a charcoal filter portion (like the OEM one) to filter out smells too.

thank you for posting this. **** OEM if there is a suitable replacement. $70 for some paper and charcoal when you can get it for half that is stupid.

If the quality is the same I agree. I replace cabin filters on cars at work quite often. Rarely ever is the aftermarket one anywhere close to the quality of the oem one. Like I said, if you find one that is as nice, then I agree no reason to pay more for the same thing.

There's a how to somewhere on this forum on how to add a cabin filter to the Evo's that done come with cabin filters from the factory.

I dont know how often, i know the 30k recommends it, so maybe every 30?

ya about every 20k or so. If you have allergies and live in a place with lots of pollen then the lower end of 20k. otherwise you might even be ok to wait till 30k. I get allergies and Norcal is horrible for folks with allergies, so before installing the new cabin filter I sprayed the system with bg frigi fresh to clean and kill mold in the vents as much as possible.
