Anti-mod fans?
Here is a picture of mine, it is a daily driver, so I do not want to go crazy on it, which sounds like you are similar in thought. Couple quick notes, I LIGHTLY blackened the FMIC again to not stand out day to day (has held up great, even living on a gravel & tar & chip road).. You can see the rear spoiler, just tasteful and matches the OEM body lines (I did this since it mounts in the existing holes from the wing). Mud flaps, obviously.. and the emblems have been removed all around... Looks unassuming on the street everyday, and with the silencer in, draws very little attention.

Going on 3yrs and no mods here.
Not necessarily a "Anit-Mod" kinda guy but more of the "The nut behind the wheel needs to match the bolts under the hood" philosophy. So many people tend to mod way beyond their driving capabilities and I just don't wanna be one. So until I can out drive or my abilities surpass the already massive capabilities of the Evo I'll remaing stock and spend my monies on track time.
Plus I like reliability too much

And any tuning or modding should NOT hurt the reliability, or it surely is not a good long-term value... It does seem that many just barely afford an Evo, and then try to add the cheapest parts to it, only going backwards on the use/quality/reliability scale. Shame really...
I would like to compile a 'top 10' list of mods that have very little to no drawback (except financial of course).
So far, it seems like Tune is topping the list and better tires.
Others include Evo 9 Bov, cabin filter, mudflaps, boost gauge, MR struts.
I want to add, rear sway bar. I think it really tightens up any plow the car may have, but that's probably subjective. They're usually really really inexpensive for what they do to your handling with very little to now drawback.
Not really 100% sold on any springs as I have not tried them, but I will take a few members word for it

VERY true statement, and I am amazed by those who do not fix that nut first.

Not saying reliability and modding can't go hand and hand but usually at a cost most don't wanna pay.

Credit to basicfun for this, but I had no idea the rear diff on our cars is 'lacking'.
Just a place holder until I do more reading/research

I don't mind paying for mods because I usually sell something else. So the money sits in paypal (call it trading).

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Title had me wondering. Next car I get (soon) I am not modding. Really. Not going to **** with it. Just run it. Give it good tires and brake pads -- enjoy.
