I guess I should have been a little more specific.. Basically I’m looking for a street monster that I can take out to the track here and there, but also something that looks under the radar.. Unfortunately I’m ganna be moving to Sacramento to go to school and I know those Cali PO-POs are dicks.. so I’m looking for a stock appearing turbo.. I was thinking about a FP Black but I haven’t seen any convincing dyno charts...

I suggest trying something new like a 2.4L with a PTE 5757. This is because the torque will be sufficient with the larger displacement and there will be minimal lag for a larger turbo. A 6262 would also work, but that is for pushing 600+awhp.

I also suggest sticking with a stock frame turbo like an FP Black, or possibly the new CBRD BBK-B (although I have no idea about release time). Those would also support the 2.4L nicely and 500awhp IS obtainable through a stock frame turbo.
+1 this speaks knowledge.

use a fp black to get your 500whp or more and still have sweet spool use a fp red if you want to gain even faster spool being in the 200rpm range and if you want insane spool use a fp green but you willl require e85 to get 500 whp out the fp green and near its cap limit.

Just buy a t3 setup either a hta 3582 or 6262 with a 63 ar for quicker spool these stock frame turbos need to be really pushed to see power but they work great with 2.4 motors.

what are you talking about? pushed?? mikey had over 600whp with his fp black at like 25psi or so. There is nothing wrong with a stock frame turbo. he only wants 500whp which is easy to obtain. before you say it on mikeys 2.0 he was at 565whp with meth injecton on his fp red. yahu had like 495 on fp black on pump on his 2.0. akaralliart had like 495 as well on his 2.0 setup. plenty of examples of stockers laughing at 500 and doign it in quicker time. it can be done easy with the RIGHT MODS as if any thing in life. A stocker will get him into the power quicker with faster spool. yes a t3 setup can get there and not work as hard persay and hold the power longer but thats subjective because it depends on the type of racing being done. the only time a 35r should be used if you want 600 on pump more power up top like 720+ or if you just plain get a sweet deal on one. Fp has a sweet warranty on there products and will take care of you with in reason if you have a failure. I dont see other turbo companies doing that. for 500 a stock frame fp turbo will do the job nicely faster and not cost him 3k or more to do it.

A green is not really enough turbo for a 2.4L, thatd be a huge waste of a capable motor. A Red is still kind of borderline small for a 2.4L, but on E85, youd make 500whp on a dynojet pretty easily, youd barely be pushing anything.

My 2.4/Black made awesome power on Buschurs dyno, which reads low as hell (15% lower than a DJ) 39psi peak and 38psi at redline, boost held awesomely. I love my set up.

FP Black Is where it's at right now. Many reasons the spool is not far past where the stock evo9 turbo. Also the FP has the driveability of a stock turbo but the power of a larger turbo without the lag. 6262 is a good turbo, but it's dumb laggy just really not for daily driving imo.

have you driven 6262 car around? like personally driven one around town an stuff? or are you just going by what all the fp nuthuggers say, because i went from the stock 9.8 turbo to the 6262 and driving around town is no different.and its not even that laggy.Sure if im going 40 in 4th and puch it its gonna be laggy, but so would a black.I actually like the DD ability of this turbo because im not always building boost just driving around,so i save a little on gas.Its not that laggy and you just have to be in the right gear,i get full spool around 5200 rpm,and when your racing your never below 5k rpm anyways. Now if i was a road race only car i would get the fp red.

Well OP considering you are worrying about looking as stock as possible there really is no other choice than a stock frame turbo.
