So I just got an evo VIII back in may and I'm starting to have some issues. It like to cut out, like I let off the gas, an cut back in when I get into it in 3rd usually. It has done it to me 3 times so far.

I also have some electrical problems :s my right tail light keeps blowing fuses, my HVAC lights won't come on, and my left rear speaker won't work.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out on at least a couple of these.

 

are you the original owner? how is the car history? any modifications to car?

 

Im guessing he is not original owner since he just got it in may. OP did it have these issues when you bought the car? and did the previous owner disclose any issues it has had
?

 

Harness comes in from driver side fender to the fuse box. Check from the foot well for any moisture.

problem with 3rd gear might be boost cut.

 

Let me know if im rite... Heavily corroded ignition harness behind left kick panel. I need more info for the cut out. mods..mileage.
