Sun roof not working
First check the fuse. Then check the motor. Middle of roof.
Could be a motor also, but my experience was that the three bolts to the rail that attach the motor all loosened up making the gears and cables not mesh.
I put the glass in a position that was closed and hit the switch until the motor stopped just to make sure the timing was somewhat correct.
Good Luck guys

Wells here's the thing. It's shut, thank god, and won't make a noise or anything. I looked at all the fuses and their fine. The only thing that's not right is that the right tail lights keeps popping fuses and my HVAC lights won't come on.
Search under "rain gremlins"......... and good luck.

If I didn't have to sell my soul just or gas money I probably would.
Well good news...I fixed it. The fuse was missing all together. Now that the entire top half of my car is tore apart...great

I haven't had a working sunroof for a few years. Bad sunroof motor, which will cost a few hundred to fix. So f it! But, this problem is so prevalent, I cant believe Mitsu didn't recall or cover this.
If your motor is bad then we use then we use the same motor as the vw passat 01-03 I believe. Just a different connector. You just have to wire up the connector from the volkswagon to your evo. Just looked for a junked lancer or evo. All your have to do is remove the back connectors as the top for the roof and the c pillars and you should be able to work from there without having to take the whole roof off and then do the timing by holding it forward all the way for about 5 secs.
