New redline MT-85

I know this is still pretty new, but has anyone tried this? It says its great for imports. I think this may be a good alternative to the cocktail mix for our transmissions.

My buddy's shop just received some and I've been wondering as well if it's any good for us and if it still uses the same friciton modifiers as the MTL. I've been using Amsoil 75w-90 MTG since I bought the car, however the original owner had never changed the trans/tcase/diff oil ever for the first 40k miles until I bought the car, so needless to say, it does not shift, nor sound the way I'd like it to be. I'm hairs away from sending all three out to Shep or TRE, but the downtime is gonna kill me since im located in Quebec.

Anybody try this trans-juice yet? I'd like to know how it compares to Amsoil MTG and BG Synchroshift.

Im sure this stuff is decent, but is it really that much different from mt-90? idk. Fwiw, I have tried a few different trans fluids: oem diaqueen, redline mt-90, redline lightweight shockproof, Bg synchroshift, amsoil mtg, and imo the amsoil has been the best.

I just ordered this stuff together with some shifter bushings and a front motor mount.
I'll let you guys know what I think of it when I've put it in my tranny.

I bought a few quarts of MT-85 on Amazon last week.

Hopefully I have time this weekend to change my drivetrain fluids.

We don't recommend using Shockproof for any cars that might see any daily driving in the trans.
We used Shockproof Lightweight on the Race Evo, which only sees track time

We typically use Amsoil MTG or Redline MT90 for evo 7 8 9 X trans.
We have used the Redline cocktail for couple of the Evo X customers, but the standard MTG and MT90 seems to work well.
Might not be a bad idea, if you are doing a trans fluid flush near winter to use 75-85.

Touge, any recomendations for the drivetrain for a car that will be on the track quite a bit. Weak points etc. Mine will not be as crazy as yours but r-comps, mild motor mods and lots of suspension.

Driven a lot of evos with a lot of different fluids.

I'll use nothing but Pennzoil Syncromesh in my car ever. 6 years of ownership and 112k hard *** miles I put on still 100% OEM trans that shifts great, never had a grind. I follow a 6-10k change interval.

MT-85 was designed with the 8/9 5-speed's spec in-mind. If you've been using the cocktail of 2 MT90 + 1 MTL and you're happy with it then continue on, but if you want to try something new give the MT85 a shot.
