What BOV????

Im getting ready to turn up the boost a little in my 05 MR...I have the stock BOV now and i want a GOOD BOV to put on my car. I dont care about the sound I just want one that will eff up. I was thinking synapse....What do you guys suggest???

If the DV on your VIII MR is the plastic version, swap it out for a IX DV (metal).

Why crush it? How much boost are you planning to run? The IX DV will hold up to 26lbs. If you are after more than that, the Synapse, the APS Twin Vent and Tial seem to be popular choices.

Well then I guess the IX it is...Im still on stock IC piping, my stock BOV is on my intake, can i just put it right in its spot?

+1 The three listed above are the best choices for aftermarket looking to push 30+ psi

If you want a clean car i would get a synchronic... but if you dont plan on showing it off and you just want it to "get by" then go with the IX DV

This statement doesn't make one bit of sense. A lot of people must be "getting by" with the IX DV. It is proven to perform well. Having a "Synchronic" doesn't make a clean car, a wash and wax does that job.

Yessir Last time i had my car tuned, it held 36 pounds unmodified never had any issues with it
