plans for 2011

I plan on getting injectors to run e85 next year, anyone have a prefered choice??

My current set up is stock turbo, injen intake and ICP, Hallman RX PRO MBC at 25 psi, ACT unsprung SD, ACT extreme duty PP, SHEP stage 1 T CASE, kelford 272 cams, buschurs 3' TBE with off road test pipe, and a walboro 255 FP. (car is currently in LIMP MODE due to CEL for camshaft positon sensor. Thats a whole other situation)

With a stock turbo, some FIC 1250's will work nicely. They are a great injector with great driving characteristics both on and off throttle. These will give you enough fuel combined with your walbro for a stock turbo or green. If you plan on going to anything bigger then a green, a double pumper will definitely be required and perhaps a larger set of injectors. From my limited personal experience consisting of only running about 4 different sets of injectors, there is a large void in the mid/upper range of injectors; meaning that after the FIC 1250's, the only larger injector that I will run is the ID2000. All of the in between sizes that I have ran have had some poor quality associated with them, the biggest being idle and part throttle characteristics. With the 1250's and 2000's, no problems at all, smooth sailing

I dont think you would need higher than 1000cc on the mods you listed. If you plan on further upgrading( bigger turbo, cams, ect.) 1250 FIC or 2000cc ID will supply your need for E-85.

If you see plans anywhere in the future to run a bigger turbo, red/black 35r etc etc. just bite the bullet and run the id2000s. Theres no point in buying mutiple sets of injectors. Its better to have bigger then needed, then not enough. My dumbass has 880s for 93, and now within 2 months found an E85 source, so need double pumper and id2000s. Then again, ive added an FP black to the car, so that'll do it!

Save yourself the time of upgrading injectors twice. and just bite the cost now!

I'd so don't worry about injectors and get your CEL fixed. Also PTE 1000-1200cc should do ya good.

Your question is really broad, you will get a better idea of what you should/could do if you let everyone know your intentions with the car.

I will agree with the statement that EvolutionVIIIrs said about plan smart so that you dont have to waste money over and over again buying different injectors. you might be maxing out the walbro pump running 1250's...

Also keep in mind, I run an HTA Green and have 2150cc FIC's and a double pumper so everyone is talking about all different sizes, I was advised of the same about going over 1250's that there are idle issues etc. the 2150's don't have this problem though.

Also when running E85 you will be running more boost so you should plan to add ARP head studs if you haven't already (you didn't list this but I would assume you do because of the cams) and an upgraded actuator to help with the proper pre-load on the car to get better spool.

I ran PTE 1200's with NO problem. I just upgraded to FIC BlueMAX 1450's (MAP recommended these or the high impedance 1100's from FIC for E85 esp.)

The turbo I'm going with won't need a double pumper and will need a little more then 1 walbro......so I'm installing a inline fuel pump to work in tandem with the Walbro.

I'll have some numbers in the next week or two hopefully.

^ I was told that the FIC 1450's (which I purchased my self have some major idling issues) so I ditched them... just food for thought

^^ at the same time if you are certain that you arent going to be going with a bigger turbo eventually then you should be fine, if you eventually upgrade you are going to be buying bigger injectors again and wasting all kinds of money no the inline pump etc...

No one suggesting FIC 2150's? How come? I have heard a lot of good things about their tunability/drivability etc.
