Clicking/Hopping Feeling While Turning *HELP!*

So I went to the track last night because the weather was nice and cold to try and make some passes in the car. I made a couple passes with some nice 1.6X 60' At the track it wasn't aparrent to me because your not turning much when I left and went to the gas station I want to do like a u-turn to get to a pump that was open and thats when I realized the problem.

When in gear turning I can hear like a light clicking noise and the car kind of pops and feels like its hopping threw the turn, theres no whining of the sort just the popping/hopping I hear when im turning so I parked the car when I got home. Should I be looking at axles? or T-case it deftinally sounds like its coming from the front end though any help would be awesome so I got a slight heads up going into inspecting this thing!

Your transfer case is probably bad.. or going. do you have any whinning while driving over 50 mph at all?

Im assuming this because this was happening to me for the last week and last night she all fetched up on me on the highway. long story short, I need a new T-case.

The clicking is typical of a CV joint on the axle going out. Check your boots and make sure they are all intact and no grease splatter around those areas. Have you experienced a CV joint going bad before? The hopping part suggest TC.

is the noise coming from only the drivers side? if so i would point toward the CV joint as well had one go bad in my wrx had a quiet clicking eventually got louder and i could feel it in the steering wheel.

No whining of the t-case above 1st gear, just normal 1st gear whine thats it. I've never had a car with CV axles accept my cobalt/srt-4 so they never went out. I talked to some of the honda kids and they all think its a CV so im going to inspect the axles tommorow. Anything else I should look at guys?

Got the car in the air and took a look, none of the CV boots are split no axles are broken but the only thing thats goofy on the passenger side CV closest to the trans is theres a circle of grease flung around right by the CV boot edge heres a picture:

My Subie was doing the same on both sides of the transmission. In my case the fix was two new boots. No clicking. There is a lot of grease in those boots.

What oil in the rear diff? There was a guy on here the other day with a similar complaint and switching back to diaqeen in the rear diff fixed it.

I run DIAQUEEN in the rear diff, and the t-case and redline in the trans.

Yea most likely cv is bad...the cage might have a broken part so it pops out everynow and then causing the "hopping". I had one go out and felt the hopping and clicking, turned out to be my cv. Lucky for me the cage or whatever it's called completely shattered in my driveway so I was able to push it back into my garage. Once it goes out your car won't drive anymore so better change it asap.

Is there any sure way to tell besides for me pulling it out? I'd hate to rip the whole passenger CV axle out and have that not be the problem!

that amount of grease you see in the pic is probably everything out of the boot. you started hearing the clicking and popping because it is metal on metal now.
