I'll let everyone know what AMS has to say. They will probably just say what they told me before the tune that it needs bigger injectors. I'm building the engine during the winter but for now i just want to run as much power possible on the stock block and I dont know how big of injectors i can get before i run out of fuel pump. I'd like to run close to 500 on a single pump is this accomplishable with pump gas and some 1200 or bigger injectors?

One last thing to take into consideration, the turbo itself might have a backwards blade installed incorrectly. I know it sounds insane but this story actually happen to my right hand man. The company was so insanely sorry cause of the shame I think they payed for it.
All I'm saying is don't think it cant happen to u

this seems about right, from my research.
And I dont think the inj. have anything to do w/ the late spool.

Ask AMS what the IDC was..

Let us know what you find out...
What is IDC? And i installed the cams in 07 havent touched them since. I hope they havent been a tooth off since then HAHA. I chose the 264's at the time because i thought they were better for lower rpm tq and spool for the street and autocross.

bigger injectors, maybe even a double pump setup, MORE boost - the black will perform MUCH better at boost levels starting at 25psi and rising...get some more aggressive cams...i highly recommend the Kelford 272s...thats about as much advice as i have for you...good luck with your modding!

Have them check that the cams are set correctly and if you cant afford the injectors you need then tune it on 93 oct.

IDC at 23psi was 95%.

The car needs more injector no doubt about it. At 24.5 psi the car made way more power but injectors were above 100%.

As for being laggy I am not sure why, as I just looked at the dyno sheet and it had full boost at 4000rpm on the dyno?? When is it spooling? You may have popped a line off, I would check vacuum lines.

I will post your sheet. The only reason we didnt take it farther is cause we couldn't since you were out of injector.

Email me if you have any other questions mitchm@amsperformance.com

I can get a better picture, but you get the gist of it.

Full spool at just about 4000RPM, so I would say a line is popped off or something along those lines.

Email me with any questions.

Seriously, I run 1600cc injectors on the stock turbo

You are out of injector at 23 psi and are wondering why you are not making more power than you are ????? Basic physics....

Your turbo is designed to push much more air than you are running and is being limited by your injector ....The FP Black shines 35+ psi and will produce a ton of power. It was silly to buy such a great turbo, spend the time to install the turbo, tune the car, and select the WRONG injector....

Now you'll have to get bigger injectors - bigger than 1200s for sure and get your car retuned....

Why not a pump gas tune if your only running 880's? The FP Black's volumetric efficieny compared to your stock turbo would allow for approaching 26+ lbs of boost on psi without the extra fuel supply requirements of E*85. Just a though but I bet you could squeeze 425 out of those 880's with pump gas.

The turbo seems to be doing what it needs to due according to the graph AMS posted, the problem once again is user error... ie small *** injectors for E85...
