Help me pick out new brakes!

I have a budget of about 800 dollars for new brakes front and rear. I want slotted rotors and good pads.

I would also like some advice on which SS braided lines I should get (on a budget) and what fluid I should use.

Thanks in advance everyone!

if its strictly street them some stoptech Slotted rotors and some hawk hps pads ( don't believe all the whining about noise w/ the correct use of the shims and caliper grease mine were completely quiet) will work great. As far as lines go i had technifit SS line and ran motul rbf600 fluid with great results.

Ferroda DS2500 are very good street pads. If you are on a budget go for Centric Rotors (rotorpros, among other brand names) and skip the SS brake lines.

I'm about to do Stoptech slotted rotors, Hawk HPS pads, Goodridge braided lines, and Motul fluid on my car. Shoot me an email with what you want and I'll get you a price on a package deal.

Go with the oem pad.

Its hilarious the people that put in motul fluid and use a hawk pad and expect them to be an improvement over stock. The pads cook almost instantly. They are a joke of a pad.

Everyone has their own opinion. The best suggestion is to do as much research on your own and chose something that's going to work best for your setup.

i run hawk pads and they work perfect for my driving style and they are an improvement over stock. ive ran many autox's with them and driven 20,000-25,000 miles on them and they still have tons of life left. they were much cheaper than stock pads too

Posting opionions is not helping anyone here. Do you have actual proof of any of this?

I went with this route:

GiroDisc slotted rotors - $500
Hawk HPS pads front and rear - $180
Motul 600 fluid - $ 15
RRE SS brake lines - $95

I'm happy with this setup, I noticed a difference over stock. This is my DD
