Perrin filter in winter????

I need your opinion, I "ve now a 4.5'' perrin filter in my evo 8
and I wonder if it's appropriate for the winter? Otherwise, what type of filter would be more appropriate?

Thx everyone..

As long as your not using a cold air intake (located out of engine bay, usually down in fender somewhere) you should be just fine. I've seen alot of people running the CAI and have them just covered in ice or have hydro locked their motors because of it being located outside the engine bay.
