Well I just put in 60 dollars of Mobil 1 with my FP Red! What a waste, guess Ill go back and get something different lol. At the bottom of the pdf it says 'Also remember that racing oils are detergent free and need to be changed frequently.' What is frequently on this? 2000 miles?

FYI

i cant speak for any other racing oils, but our ASMOIL racing oils have some detergents and must not be driven any more than 3k miles.

Back to the used turbo. IMO dont buy a used turbo. I bought one, sent to FP to have checked and spent $1200 more on it cause the wheels had rubbed the housings. Nothing was good. Just buy a new one , it'll be cheaper in the long run and you know its right.

That's hard to believe since its 410 for a rebuild as I know since I sent a IX turbo in with damaged blades and had some play and it cost me 1276 shipped back and upgraded to a red 84mm ported.

A 'normal' turbo rebuild is 410. The rebuild for my black was 745 $.

That's a red to a black buy a rebuild is roughly 410 upgrades are differeant. It was 999 for a basic red. Then add 150 for the 84mm hta cover and 95 for porting. But 400 is the rebuild.

Good info!
I use K&N oil filter and Royal Purple 5W30 in the winter and 10W30 in the summer.

It looks like I need to change to 20W50 for the summertime or warm climate states?

What oil weight to allow for the zero degree temperatures in winter climate states?

We spent the same money, why is that hard to believe? Yes its $400 if everything is in good shape. But if you need new wheels, housing. Its the same price as an upgrade cause the same parts have to be changed.
Just letting the op know what to be aware of.

If you look at the exhaust side and the blades and housing are white, it's been running on
Race gas.it may have seen high boost. Maybe not , but not many people use race gas on stock
Boost!
