Thanks to everyone for the advice! However, I find it kind of curious to see alot of people to mention S2's, but its always "I've heard," "people say," etc. that they are good. I would like to hear from someone who actually has FP RED with S2's what #'s they are putting down and compare to other cars with different cams!

I just had a red and Kelford 272's installed, just waiting on the Shep Stage 2 tranny and stage 3 T case to be installed.

I've had both kelfords and S2's...not really sure yet which one is best, might know in a couple weeks when I tune the car.

S2's - I gained 46whp going S2's and speed density on the BBK (lil smaller than FP Red). Made 450whp uncorrected Dynojet on pump and 500 on E85.

People shouldn't post/list correct #'s

^ you would have made more with the S2's. With an Evo 9 (mivec) you really don't lose any spool either from the S1's.

we see a very very small loss in spool on the S2's... but it's worth it for the peak power you pick up!

S2's are generally my pick for almost ANY evo IX build we do here....

pair them with the GSC beehives and you are good to go! pair them with the headwork and they really rip!

Exactly make sure you do the springs..My friend was getting valve flutter and was having a problem with knock due to faulty valve noise..

The car was also making minimal power with the s2's but once he put springs and retainers the car picked up 40 whp in the mid and 30whp at peak with less * and 2 psi less boost from his old tune on stock cams..

As far as the ix evos go s2 cams (new batch)are the best cams on the market in terms of every each way either if you have stock or all the way up to a 6262 turbo..

If your debating between the Kelford and the GSC, I would go with the GSC, they have a little more lift than the Kelfords.
