low oil pressure.. help

Hi,
i have a 2.3l build with a fp red turbo. My build are as the follow
manley forged 100mm crank
manley turbo tuff rods
manley stroker pistons
stock head with SS valves, springs and retainers
balance shaft eliminator kit
AEM EMS
AEM wideband kit
Brad penn 20-50 oil
ACL racing series bearings
clearance plastic gauge tested
motor has 300 miles on it

after breaking in the motor we decide to put in an AEM oil pressure gauge but at start up the motor only reads 35-40psi at cold start. After idling for a min or so i rev it to 3500 rpm and it drops to 30-35 psi then goes up back to about 35-40 psi when its back at idle. I then changed the oil pump to a new one but same problem. Then i added washers to the pressure relief spring but same problem again. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what can be the problem with it.

try to use another oil pressure gauge/sending unit, just in case if the reading wrong.

possibly the balance shaft eliminator kit caused oil pressure low

Were the correct bearings installed with buschur's kit? with the balance shafts eliminated the stock bearings need to be removed and the kit bearings need to be installed. since there is no shaft there is no need for the stock bearings with oiling holes to be in there that will cause low oil pressure. that's why the eliminator kits come with new "block off" bearings.

messing up the bs eliminator install is the only thing i can think of unless the entire build is bad

Did you also replaced the oilpump assy on your rebuild?
What is the piston-to-wall clearance?
Mine is .040" and I get about 75-80 PSI on cold start. Then eventually set down to about 25 warmed idle.

the balanshaft bearings was installed correctly and we know this because we installed it before and i made sure that the hole for both bearings were blocked off. the piston to wall clearance is the same as your .040

This. Cause if you mounted the sender to the head, that maybe the reason for low reading since it sees oil last. Though it should still read higher then what your getting for pressure.
