I remember someone said that the U.S. Evo was more fun to drive than the Japan or UK Evo. It seems to me the Japan and UK Evo are much better.

right after the Evo was released in the US a British car mag writer drove the US spec Evo VIII and said he prefered it to the UK spec Evo VII. He liked the way it handled, and didn't miss the AYC & ACD. But, it appears that the world press overall greatly prefers the Evo VIII to the VII regardless of the level of trim it is in. I would like to see a couple of respected drivers/writers (Tiff Needle!) drive both the US & UK spec Evos and see what they think of them. This is pretty unlikely though....

Justin 1933...is that this month's issue of CAR? I just ask 'cause I might actually fork over the $7 to get it.

Previously I thought the only changes made to the FQ-300 was engine management...or is that what the article is saying? Otherwise it sounds like they changed the exhaust and intercooler plumbing as well...

The FQ-300 is 300hp and basically has some hks internals and a beefed up ecu and also 301 torque and it is only 2500lbs(money)over the stock evo in europe.
