If you require stock-like quietness, but need fuel delivery volume beyond that which the stock single pump(or a single WALBRO 255LPH unit) can deliver, then why not get a double-pumper kit such as the Buschur, Black-Ops, etc. and retrofit it with two stock Mitsu Evo pumps instead of the two Walbros that the kit comes fitted with originally?

Just replace the two Wallies with two stock Mitsu Evo pumps. This will be quieter than a single Wallie and should deliver significantly more fuel as well. In addition you could hardwire it and run a Kenne-Bell Boost-A-Pump along with it.

Some people will tell you that it can't be done, but I say that it should be doable. On my Buick GN I replaced the two Wallie 340 pumps in my ATR double pumper with dual GM ordinance, Syclone/Typhoon pumps and it was a lot quieter. So, replacing the Wallies on a double-pumper with two stock Evo pumps should be doable. I know that I could do it myself.

Just buy a complete double pumper kit and then resell the two new Wallies that it comes fitted with and buy yourself two nice and quiet stock factory pumps. Or you can reuse your car's original factory pump and just buy one more, new factory pump to pair it with.

I guess that's possible, I'm just seeing if there are any legitimate single pump in tank options available.

I have found SARD and Power enterprise options--both about 230-265lph. I, like you dont even want to think about the whinboro POC. These are both supposed to be quiet, intank replacements-- Havent had the cash to check one out yet, but thats where i am leaning if its of any help..

remove seat and put a layer(or two) of sound deadening like dynomat. in my car only way to hear the whine is to put my ear right to the seats.

you can run a bosch 044, but its not a drop in replacement, so youll have to work with that.

the 044 will outflow the 255, and is quieter. I had one, and it was pretty quiet compared to the WAL 255, its a different noise, more like a rushing water noise than a whine.

the walbro 255 is an inherently noisy lil biatzch

why not just try and insulate the fuel tank area more with sound proofing? maybe that will help

I have had a Walbro and now a BR Double pumper and I don't really hear anything. I am curious as to if the leather seats insulate the sound better then the cloth ones.

Anyone with the leather seats have a problem with a loud walbro?

If you guys think the walbro is loud then you better find a big factory pump. All aftermarket pumps that i can think of are just as loud or louder than the walbro.

if they've got fuel pumps that dont whine for cars that make double the power of a stock evo im sure there's an alternative that doesnt whine for evos in the aftermarket.. if not yet developed, then soon.

I don't hear my duals very loudly at all really, I have the SSL package. Of course it's more noticable depending on how much gas is in the tank but that's normal. I agree with mifesto, put some sound deadening material over the pump assembly, I'm willing to bet that would help a ton
