Coilover FAIL!!!
It's been said, but PB Blast the hell out of the bolts and let them sit for a while. Then use a big long breaker bar (with a ***** bar if you must, no shame), not ratchets. These bolts are torqued to 123ft/lb and have 139k miles of rust/seizing on there. These are the things that make working on a car a nightmare. The task at hand isn't hard, it's the unforseen obstacles.
like everyone else said,
PB blast it, torch the crap out of it untill its glowing and then hit it with a breaker bar, that is a guaranty to come off, i have yet to find a bolt that wont come off with those steps, and use real tools theres many that may claim to be 'heavy duty' and ive tried them but i always go back to craftsman and snap on, the rest are worthless
edit: just saw you were going to go to midas, im with delongedoug DONT!

Sounds like the sort of thing that usually happens to me. I tried taking off my front bumper for 3 hours today and never managed to get the bloody thing off!
I also agree with going to a performance shop rather than more "popular" places. They're used to doing oil changes and brake jobs, not a full-on coilover installation.

lmao... front bumper...?!? lol... i was using craftsman ratchets by the way... i drenched with wd40 and gave it some metal/metal hits at the top to see if it will loosen up the bolt... but nothing...
and yes... i was turning the bolts the right way (or atleast attempting to) lol... after the 3rd ratchet i called it quits... i'll follow the advice and avoid midas... i'll try contacting a actual tuning shop for this job... im just hoping they don't rape my wallet much...

jeeeeez.... I undid my FR damper @ 19k miles and it was really really on there... sounds like you needed some heat or some impacts.
Usually if I can't undo a bolt from a breaker bar... I know that I am getting close to the limit of breaking the bolt... I than start using a hammer for some impact shock to break it loose... of course soaking it w/ PB blaster and using some heat.... a trick that has worked for me.

The lower strut bolts on most cars are splined so you need to hold the bolt with a wrench and then take the nut off first then tap the bolt with the splines through the hole... not sure if the evos are like that...but pb blaster and an impact gun are your friend.
If you are planning on wrenching on your own car....do yourself a favor and invest in AIR TOOLS. An impact wrench with a set of impact sockets will make your life much easier. 20+ years of mechanic experience will teach you a lot when it comes to using the correct tool(s) for the job.
With the proper tools you can swap in a set of coil overs in about 45 mins. Most of that time will be taking the wheels off.
As others have stated....letting the bolts soak in BP Blaster for about 10 minutes before you start will make the job easier.

Ive came into contact with an air gun not even being able to break a bolt loose. I now use a large breaker bar(prob 20 inches) and my jack handle on the end, pops loose every time!
thanx for the info guys... ima take another swing at it today after looking around for reliable/powerful tools... i'll also look into the pb blaster since its like what 80% of u on here are recommending
