ok i have had some intrest in this turbo and see tha aot of people are selling them is there a huge reason not to use the fp black for street use , or is the spool to late for what people want let see what everyone has to say

 

I think some are doing the move from the Blacks to the new HKS GTII 7460r.

 

I had a fp black for street duty and had no problems at all. Great turbo.

power is addictive, the black is awesome but after awhile, people just want more power, if the turbo u own is capable of lets say 600hp and your in the mid 500hp range then whoops its time to sell and get a turbo capable of 800hp, i love my black but am doing research on precision 6262, see what i mean

 

What's the difference in spool time between a black and a green?

 

^^^ black has a bigger wheel hense the lag. great turbo though. the competion is tough with all these turbos in the market...

 

People get greedy after awhile lmao. I think I want the black by I want the most power I can get and still have the car street legal.

well damn im on my like fourth week of waiting for my black i hope its good enough for me for a while...

 

I love the Black man. Its a great turbo. I drive it on the street and at the track and the car has gone 9.7s-9.8 consistently. The lag is not bad at all, dont know why some people thing it is. Its a awesome all around turbo Im selling my in the next week or 2 if you are interested, im going to a Front facing kit.

I seriously considered getting a black before I got the new HKS. Response is great but I have the power bug....Still considering the black for next year's mods

 

this is a perfect example of why people are selling the black. Either they want more power to make a lower time or they are changing directions with the car. Example mine has a black now I have never driven it yet but someday LOL but if i get a chance to autox and do some serious road coursing I would change my turbo to a HKS one or HTA green to increase my spool even more and get into the power. Hell i owned a brand new FP red never used it planned on it and sold it when the black launched just because it was something new. Some people are like me. Want the latest and the greatest for sure.
